Purpose of the Position

To support the educational, instructional, research, and academic activities of the department by carrying out assigned duties completely and in accordance with the University's Quality Management System and applicable legislation.

Direct Supervisor: Dean, Head of Department, and Head of Division

Supervises: None

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in associate degree and undergraduate education, practical training, project preparation, and seminars in accordance with the objectives and principles of the Higher Education Law.
  • Conduct scientific research and publish scholarly work.
  • Provide academic guidance and assistance to students during designated office hours.
  • Perform duties assigned by the Dean, Head of Department, and Head of Division.
  • Assist in laboratory and practical applications where applicable.
  • Serve on departmental committees and commissions when assigned.
  • Carry out all academic and administrative duties in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, institutional procedures, and the instructions of the Head of Division and supervising faculty members.
  • Attend meetings organized by the Head of Division and implement the decisions taken.
  • Carry out academic studies assigned by the Head of Division and supervising faculty member.
  • Support educational activities and assist faculty members in teaching-related responsibilities.
  • For positions in Health Sciences, contribute to the delivery of effective, efficient, safe, and economical healthcare services in accordance with institutional policies and professional standards.
  • Assist with patient admission, examination, diagnostic, treatment, hospitalization, discharge, and follow-up procedures where applicable.
  • Ensure that required medical forms and records are completed accurately and completely.
  • Provide patients and their relatives with information regarding follow-up treatment and periodic examinations where authorized.
  • Comply with infection control, occupational safety, and patient safety procedures, including the appropriate use of personal protective equipment.
  • Check the condition and expiration dates of medical materials and ensure that expired or defective materials are removed from use.
  • Carry out emergency duties assigned by the Head of Division and supervising faculty member.
  • Perform on-call duties and clinical rotations in accordance with institutional schedules and procedures, where applicable.
  • Assist supervising faculty members during clinical or professional interventions.
  • Prepare patients for clinical or procedural interventions and assist with safe patient transfer when required.

Authority

Authorized to carry out assigned duties and ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with the University's Quality Management System.

Delegation of Authority

Delegation of authority shall be carried out in accordance with the decisions of the relevant academic and administrative supervisors when necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • Meet the general qualifications specified in Civil Servants Law No. 657 and Higher Education Law No. 2547.
  • Possess the academic qualifications and professional competence required for the position.
